Privacy Policy — Sukoon

1. Introduction

Sukoon is an app for reading the Quran, dhikr (remembrance), duas (supplications), and prayer times.

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the app uses and what we do not collect.

2. What we do not do

• No targeted ads.
• No cross-app tracking.
• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts inside the app.
• We do not store your data on our own servers.

3. Data we use

A) Data stored locally on your device

The app saves the following on your device only (via iOS settings and app storage):

This data is not sent to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.

B) Location (optional)

• Used only for prayer times in your city.
• You may deny permission; a default city (e.g. Riyadh) is used instead.
• Location is not sent to our servers.

To fetch prayer times, coordinates are sent to a third-party service (see Section 5).

C) App lock (Screen Time)

The app lock feature uses Apple’s official APIs: Family Controls, Screen Time, and Device Activity.

• You choose which apps and categories to block.
• The app does not see your messages, photos, or activity inside other apps.
• We cannot block or monitor apps without your approval through Apple’s settings.

D) Subscriptions (Sukoon Plus)

App lock is available:

• Free for 7 days on first use of the lock feature, then
• Via monthly or yearly subscription through the App Store.

• All payments are processed by Apple — we never see or store your card details.
• Apple provides subscription status (active/inactive) so we can enable or disable the lock feature.
• You can restore purchases or manage your subscription in App Store settings.

Always free (no subscription): Quran reading, dhikr, duas, prayer times, and bookmarks.

E) Notifications (optional)

• The app may ask for notification permission to send a gentle reminder if you have not opened the app for a while (e.g. after 24 hours).
• Notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
• No marketing push notifications from our servers.
• You can turn them off in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Sukoon.

4. Third-party services

We do not share your data with ad networks or data brokers.

5. Children

Sukoon is intended for worship and reading. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided data through the app, please contact us.

6. Security & retention

• Local data is protected by iOS security.
• We do not keep a copy of your data on our servers.
• To delete local data: uninstall the app from your device.

7. Your rights

You may at any time:

• Deny or revoke location permission
• Deny or revoke notification permission
• Cancel your Sukoon Plus subscription in the App Store
• Delete the app to remove all local data

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we add new features. The last updated date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
